Book Review-Wisdom Meets Passion

This book is a good companion to Dan Millers previous book called "40 Days to the Work You Love" which comes in handy in today's workforce culture where the days of holding a single employment position seems to be a thing of the past. Here he teams with his son Jared in co-authoring this book. To the authors the position you want to be in is working at whatever your passion is, and if you are blessed to be in that position, you will be more productive and at the same time have this sense of fulfillment that would be almost impossible if you were "working for a paycheck." I would recommend this book, particularly to those who are in the middle of a career change or if you are seeking what your calling in life is.

Book Review-Real Marriage by Mark and Grace Driscoll

To summarize, this book is based on "The Real Marriage" seminar tour headed by Mark Driscoll, head pastor at Mars Hill Church and his wife Grace. If you are familiar with Christ centered teachings on marriage, the principles stated here will be nothing new. Topics such as the husband and wife's respective roles are touched on and issues such as sacrificial love, respect, mutual submission, intimacy, etc. are in alignment with God's Word.
Furthermore, if you are familiar with Driscoll's style of preaching, there will be no surprises. Having said that, read this book with caution if you are NOT used to Driscoll or are offended by explicit content. You probably will not be comfortable reading it if that is the case. In addition, you may want to keep it away from younger readers as well.
Overall, Driscoll, as with his previous books, spent a lot of time in research and studying the Bible. And once again, he hits this relevant topic head on.
